Arizona Diamondbacks (Daigle) at Florida Marlins (Oliver) 7:35 PM ET
Florida (Oliver) –1.5 +168 (2 Units)
As far as the pitching matchup for this game, looking at team with the better of the two is hard to find. Both Casey Daigle and Darren Oliver have been very shaky this season with only a couple good outings from each. Both have pretty putrid ERA’s and WHIP’s both for the season and in their recent starts but we side with Oliver because Florida is at home. In his 7 starts, only 2 have been at Pro Players Stadium and both were his best two of the season. His ERA is a respectable 3.75 (compared to 9.89 on the road). He faced Arizona 4 times last season while with the Rockies and came away with mixed results. 2-2 with a 4.09 ERA but 3 of those came at Coors Field so all in all, not to bad. The Diamondbacks cannot hit lefties this season as they are batting just .210 for the season. Daigle meanwhile had a nice stretch of three games after a simply awful start but has since regressed with a 9.31 ERA in his last 2 starts. Arizona is 4-3 in his 7 starts but they bailed him out twice with double-digit offense or they would be just 2-5. In their last eight games, the Diamondbacks have scored 16 runs while batting .203 (47-for-231). They have been limited to three or fewer runs in 10 of their last 15 contests. The Marlins finally got something going on offense against Houston and that was the first time in their past 6 games that they scored more than 3 runs. We want that to carry over tonight.
