Today we like Pittsburgh (Benson -150) against Cincinnati (Haynes). Pittsburgh has lost three straight, but now their best starter is going. Benson is 2-0 with a 2.00 Era this season and was 1-0 versus the Reds last year. Haynes is 0-2 with a 6.75 Era so far this season and has lasted only 9 1/3 innings in two starts, plus he was 0-1 versus the Pirates last year.
We also like Texas (Benoit +145) against Seattle (Garcia). Garcia has been decent this at 0-0 with a 2.25 Era in three starts, but he always struggles against the Rangers. That includes a 1-3 record last year, plus this game is in Texas where the Rangers are 5-3 this season. Benoit was 1-0 versus Seattle last season and is making his first start of the year. The hot Texas offense will support him today as they feed off of last night's 10-8 win.
