Montreal Expos (Ohka) at Florida Marlins (Willis) 7:05 pm EST

    Florida (Willis) –1.5 +136 (2 Units)

Dontrelle Willis came out of nowhere last season to put up a spectacular rookie campaign. He came onto the scene in May and he finished 2003 with an ERA higher than 3.72 in only one month (August). Throw that month out and he finishes with a 13-3 record and a 2.61 ERA. He faced the Expos 3 times last season and he had a bad first outing but rebounded after that with a couple gems. An advantage for Willis is that only 4 of the 8 starters have faced him before. Willis actually worked this spring on a few different things. He concluded spring training trusting his breaking ball enough to throw it on fastball counts. The high-kick windup remains, but Willis and pitching coach Wayne Rosenthal worked giving it more fluidity. The hope is those kinds of adjustments will propel Willis to another double-digit victory total. Tomo Ohka is just 1-5 against the Marlins in his career including a 1-3 mark last season. He posted a 6.10 ERA and a 1.74 ratio against Florida in 20.2 innings. Current Marlins are hitting .345 against Ohka with Juan Pierre and Luis Castillo leading the way, hitting a combined .483.
