What I would prefer to know is the history of this promotion, more details than it winning.

How many games did each take to get to that level, what the win loss record was during the promotion.

I dont know about some, but getting to 1500 is great, but spending 500 bucks on a game is NOT great. I would take a 30 game session to get me there than 5 where I have to bet 500 a game and be crapping my pants over the result.
