Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets 9:00 pm EST

    Denver +2.5 (2 Units)

With Minnesota hosting a huge game against San Antonio on Tuesday and then having to travel for a game the next night, the Nuggets have a better shot at revenge over the Twolves. Denver will look to get back at Minnesota after a 21-point drubbing on Sunday and at the same time, keep their hold onto the 8th spot for the Western Conference playoffs. Denver has really faltered of late, losing 12 of their last 17 games. However, to their credit 10 of those 17 games were on the road and 5 of the 7 home games were against playoff teams. The Nuggets are 4-4 their last 8 games despite 6 of those games being away from home. They are 2-0 at home during this stretch. A win over the Clippers on Monday helped ease some of the pain but now they must keep it up with Utah and Portland right on their heels. Their reserve corps, which had been struggling, contributed 40 points, generating memories of earlier months when wins came more easily. The Nuggets average a league-high 20.0 fast break points per game and have scored at least 25 on the break in 20 games. Denver is 24-12 on the season when scoring at least 20 fast break points in a game. With a big game behind them, Minnesota should come into this one lethargic leading to a lot of easy Denver baskets. When they are running and scoring, they are pretty tough to beat. The Nuggets are 33-19 when they score 90 points or more, including 25-9 when they hit the century mark.
