  • Free Picks and Predictions on Line Moves for Sept. 29

    By Doug Upstone of www.VegasProInsidersDaily.com

Let's get ready for another big week of college football and review all the early line moves and clue you in on the new ones. Take a minute to review all the betting trends, our free picks and predictions (350-275-6 long term, 159-124-4 of late) to see what we are thinking today. See you back here tomorrow.

    CFB – (157) WEST. MICHIGAN at (158) MIAMI-O *3:30 ET* ESPN+* *New*

With Western Michigan having the overall stronger football program and beating Miami-O five straight times (covering the last four), the Broncos have been ridden from +3 to -1.5. Another good reason to support Western Mich. is the fact they have the superior offense, more than doubling the Redhawks output. (36.7 vs. 17.2 PPG) With the total at 53.5, Miami-O is*0-7 ATS at home when the total is between 49.5 and 56.

Betting Trend -*93% backing Western Michigan

CFB – (161) OHIO STATE at (162) PENN STATE *7:30 ET* ABC* *New*

This Big 10 battle features two teams averaging over 53 PPG. The original total was 66 and it shot up to 71 Thursday before settling back to 70 on Friday. There is no shortage of reasons to think this should be a high-scoring affair and both defenses have allowed 24 or more points twice. Yet, I having this nagging feeling the final score will be 35-31. But that is an emotion and the facts say each team has numerous OVER trends and I'll follow the numbers.

    Betting Trend -*55% backing Under

    Doug's VPID Take*- Lean Over

CFB – (195) MISSISSIPPI at (196) LSU *9:15 ET* ESPN* *New*

There is a perception that LSU is due for a letdown and the Tigers have been lowered from -13.5 to -10 against Ole Miss. The story is the LSU offense is really not that explosive and they gave up 21 points to Louisiana Tech and 330 yards passing and the Rebels offense is certainly better than a Conference USA team. But what the Ole Miss defense, skip the 17 they gave to, drum roll, Kent State. In their three other contests, the Rebels have surrendered 43.3 PPG. The Tigers offense might not be flashy, but they committed one turnover this month and don't beat themselves. Let's call for a repeat of last year when LSU won 40-24.

    Betting Trend -*81% backing LSU
