The Cubs bullpen gave away a lead in the 8th inning and finished the deal by doing the same in the 9th and Milwaukee won, cutting Chicago's lead to 5 in the loss column. The Brewers opened as -120 favorites, but by midday, most sportsbooks had the game as a Pick (-105). Two reasons to like the Cubs tonight. It starts with being 14-2 when playing with revenge off one run defeat and a 19-10 record against LH starters.

I don't know how far out FS1 does there baseball scheduling, but I'm hard-pressed to believe other than gamblers, nobody is watching this contest. The wagering action is on the total, down from 10 to 9.5. The Halos Andrew Heaney (8-8, 4.09 ERA) takes the mound for the middle game of the series and Texas will counter with left-hander Mike Minor (10-7, 4.33). Let's go against the grain because Heaney has an ERA over 5.00 on the road and nearly 8 versus the Rangers and Texas is 16-7 OVER in home games against left-handed starters this season.*
