  • VPID Line Moves and Free Picks are Back for Mar. 20

    By Doug Upstone

After being March Madness crazy writing articles and other things, the line moves are back and we have five for today. Take a minute to review all the betting trends and our free picks (115-89-4 run) to see what we are thinking today. See you back here tomorrow.

NBA – (655) L.A. CLIPPERS at (656) MINNESOTA 8:05 ET PT, FSNO (side and total)

Basketball bettors are disagreeing with the oddsmakers on two fronts in this West Conference clash of two teams fighting to make the playoffs. Minnesota has been bumped from -2.5 to -4 and the total has dipped from 227.5 to 226. Both clubs have slumped recently, but with the adjusted price on the side, I like the Clippers since they are 21-12 ATS on the road this season. Over each teams last 10 games, they have leaned towards the OVER and I will back that since the Clips are 15-5 OVER after allowing 115 points or more this season.

Betting Trend - 78% backing Minnesota and 73% on Over
Doug's VPID Take - Play L.A. and Lean Over

CBB – (665) PENN STATE at (666) MARQUETTE 7:00 ET ESPN

The first quarterfinal game tonight in the NIT has a sinking total in Brew Town. The original total was 153 and that figure has slid to 150.5. We have conflicting intel on this clash as Penn State is 6-0 UNDER versus teams allowing shooting percentage of 45% or higher, while Marquette is 15-6 OVER versus teams making 45% or more of their shot attempts. What is right? I'll pick the Nittany Lions defense and say this outcome finishes in the 140's.

Betting Trend - 63% backing Over
Doug's VPID Take - Lean Under
