More MACtion football tonight, another 2 cents from me, and I hope is doesn’t stink, if it does, it’s LiAngelo Ball’s fault.
Select Win with U Buff
Two for two last night, sort of… a solid Select 50 win on Buffalo Bulls -7.5 or -7 with a 1/2p buy which I did, but sime didn’t have to as it closed -7. Bulls got a huge break with a little more than 2 mins left in the game as Bowling Green was driving for at least a FG or worse to steal a cover, instead fumbled giving U Buff the ball.
Buffalo tried hard to screw up, missing two FG’s and fumbling from the 1-yard line that would’ve made it 28-7. Instead, BGSU stayed close by all game. Still, Buffalo got the job done as breaks like those have certainly gone against me these last few weeks.
Free Play Akron +10.5…
Akron was getting -7 or thereabouts while I was writing my last post, by the end, they were getting 9 which quickly went to +10 and 10.5 when I clicked the post button.
So, you should’ve had plenty of time to grab at least a push. I was fortunate and played a small number at +10.5. Somehow, I thought the Zips were going to blow it in the last 2 mins backed up to their own goal line down 2 scores. But they elected to punt instead of going for 4th and 10. Mia-Oh just ran the clock out for a 10-point win and Zips cover.
MACtion tonight…
Kent St @ W. Michigan -19 (45.5) … 7:00 pm, CBSC
Kent is bad, they get rolled by just about everyone. With only 1 win, Hofstra notwithstanding, Kent has allowed, 27, 24, 14, 48, and 44 points in MAC play losing all expect beating Mia-O 17-14 at home. WMU can put up the points and winning by 3 TDs should not be a problem. However, WMU blew it last week allowing CMU to score 3 TDs in the 4th…
WMU needs 1 win for a bowl invite. They’ll get their win, I don’t think Kent won’t roll over, but they appear to try every game. I think it’ll depend on WMU, do they get the subs in and coast or look to bury Kent. I point to the Ball St game, WMU rolled up 55 and Ball got only 3… this could be a lot like that game. Kent has nothing to play for except Golden Flash pride, but that hasn’t helped much this year.
E. Michigan @ C. Michigan -1.5 (51.5) … 8 pm, ESPNU
EMU is better than their record, its well documented close losses may continue tonight. EMU beat CMY last year 26-21 and the teams are similar this year, except the win column. EMI got the groove on last week, blasting Ball St.
EMU has played WMU, NIU, Ohio to OT… the last two are battling for the conf. championship. While CMU’s best win was @ Ohio 26-23 and maybe @ WMU, but that was a raining shitty night and until the 4th Q, CMU was getting handled by WMU.
I hate to say, EMI, good luck, but this could be another nail bitter that might not go your way… BUT I am NOT… The Eagles will take the mild upset on the road and win a close game, dare I say, in OT… 31-24.
Toledo @ Ohio U +3 (65), 8 pm, ESPN2
I have a Select 50 play on the side. Should be an exciting game, best on the board tonight. A possible peek at the MAC championship, the Rockets need to win here and get a little help with a NIU loss. Ohio has Akron left and win here and they are all but in the Championship, will it be NIU or Toledo.
Free Leans: Here We Go…
WMU -19… Will blast away at Kent… lay the -19 or so and watch the back door.
EMU +1.5… will build off their thumping last week, they’ve cleaned out the system and will be focused.
Daily Card is $11…
