Los Angeles Clippers at Miami Heat 7:30 pm EST

    Miami –4.5 (2 Units)

Miami has won 3 of their last 4 games and after starting the season 3-11, they have gone a respectable 16-16 since. They have won 9 of their last 12 at home and they have gone 9-3 ATS in that span as well. Their 13-7 home record this season is tied for most home wins the Atlantic Division. The 13 home wins are also tied for fifth most in the Eastern Conference with New Jersey, Toronto and Cleveland. The Clippers have won only twice in their last 13 road games, going 4-9 ATS. With an 8 game road trip on the Clippers' immediate schedule, playing team defense will be a priority, so it seems likely coach Mike Dunleavy will continue to give regular minutes to young players such as Chris Wilcox, Melvin Ely and Matt Barnes. Former Clipper Lamar Odom is quietly having a solid season. Odom is averaging nearly 17 points and is ninth in the league in rebounding with an average of 9.8. Odom had 11 points and 15 rebounds in Miami's first game against the Clippers, an 87-85 Heat win. Forward Caron Butler is looking like his old self again, reaching double-figure scoring in six consecutive games with a 13.1 points per game average during that stretch. Over his last 16 games, Butler has averaged 10 points including 12 double-figure scoring games. Miami is 9-1 ATS as a favorite this season. The Clippers are 2-7 ATS as a road dog of 7.5 or less.
