The Eagle defense has allowed nine consecutive teams to get 100 or more yards rushing. On the other side: he’s back. Donovan McNabb has thrown for 1,513 yards, nine TDs and only one interception in the last six games, and was the NFC’s offensive player of the month in November.
Over the last seven weeks, as the Eagles have strung together victory after victory, McNabb has been the highest-rated passer in the NFL with a 101.7 rating. During that stretch, he has completed 130 of 203 passes for 1,654 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has thrown just two interceptions during that span, and the Eagles have averaged almost 27 points per game. A year ago, when they set the franchise record for points in a season, the Eagles averaged about 26 points.
Despite mixing and matching running backs Correll Buckhalter and Brian Westbrook, the Eagles are averaging an astounding 4.9 yards per carry.
