The Clippers' shooting has improved since Elton Brand returned to the lineup, just as Coach Mike Dunleavy predicted it would. Dunleavy's reasoning was that Brand's presence in the low post would consistently draw two defenders, resulting in more open shots for his teammates and a positive bump in the Clippers' shooting percentage. They've made 44% of their shots when Brand has started, 39.9% in the games he sat out or, in the case of last Friday's game at Utah, came off the bench. The Clippers are 4-0 ATS since his return to the starting rotation. New Orleans has won their first 2 games on their current 4 game trip and it’s difficult for any team to continue the winning ways away from home. They have won their last 4 away overall against teams with a combined 28-62 record. Although the Clippers could be lumped into that group, they are playing much better now, as they are the healthiest they have been all year. Los Angeles has covered the last 4 meetings.
