Atlanta Hawks @ Memphis Grizzlies
We're going to lay the wood tonight and recommend the red-hot Memphis Grizzlies at home against the Atlanta Hawks.
Memphis have won five straight to improve to 11-8 SU and ATS overall this season. Last time out they fell 15 points behind the Blazers before dominating the second half and winning 93-79. A positive sign for the much improved Grizz was the even team contribution as they had two players top score with 17 points and another two score 16 points. As a team they shot just 38% from the field compared to Portland's 49% but their 53-39 domination of the boards helped them maintain their lead. That victory followed a perfect 3-0 road trip against the Cavaliers, Celtics and Nets and a 15 point home win over the Wizards.
When you consider that at home this season Memphis have already beaten the Lakers by 10, the Spurs by 8 and the Mavs by 7, it's very reasonable to expect them to take care of Atlanta by double digits tonight.
The Hawks are just 7-15 SU and 9-13 ATS overall. Last night they posted a solid 112-98 home victory over the Denver Nuggets and must now travel to play a rested Memphis. Atlanta's record on the road this season has been poor with their four most recent trips resulting in losses by 10, 12, 5 and 39 points respectively.
These teams clashed once at The Pyramid last season and Memphis crushed Atlanta 124-92.
The Hawks appear over-matched in this contest and we're forecasting a comfortable double-digit win to the surging Grizzlies.
Recommended Play: Memphis -9
