SAN ANTONIO –7 LA Clippers
Getting healthier and angrier the Spurs will be looking for some serious blood after consecutive tough losses on the highway. They face a Clipper team that has lost six straight with the smallest margin being by six at home to a struggling Nets team.
In five of those six games, they shot below 39 percent from the field. That’s pretty scary considering that they’ve held only the Denver Nuggets to less than 40 percent. Against teams scoring just 90.9 points per game the Clippers have given up an almost impossible 102.5.
It’s just the opposite for the Spurs, as even though they’ve faced teams averaging 93.4 ppg, they’ve given up just 85.9. One team holds opponents about eight points below their season average and the other allows nearly 12 points above and the bad team is getting single digits.
Playing the always pathetic and struggling as usual Clippers is exactly what the Spurs need. We smell a blowout.
