  • Rare Huge Card Going For Friday

Insider Edge Sports - Friday November 21, 2003 Report

The frontdoor cover by Middle Tennessee St. cost us the football sweep on Thursday. Friday is the first full NCAA basketball card and we have 5 solid winners for you. We also have the winning side between Boise St. and Fresno St. along with 2 NBA sides. All of these Friday winners are yours for only $14.95 using our One Day Pass. If you aren’t winning, you’ve found the right place to turn things around. Now is the best time to grab our weekend passes – choose from Two Day, Three Day or Four Day to cover your whole weekend.

Hard work, honesty and consistency are 3 of the most important traits you should look for in a service. If you are looking for locks, inside information and over 50 games of the year, this is not the place for you. There are plenty of scamming services that give you this stuff on a daily basis. There is no such thing as a lock and inside information is a falsity that goes back to the origination of handicapping. Don’t fall for it. Take a look around and see some services that release a game of the year on a daily basis. It truly is unreal. Come and see why our hard work will pay off for you. You won’t be disappointed as our selections are solid and our analysis is the best you will find.

While our One Day Pass and Weekend Passes are the most popular, our season packages make the most sense for a long-term investment. Purchase our Basketball Season Package for $299 and receive all selections through the NBA Finals. That is over 7 months of plays meaning the cost is just over $1 per day. This includes all NCAA Basketball plays released as well as all football between now and then. This is our most popular package since it spans the greatest length of time and includes all major sports plus college.

East Tennessee St. Buccaneers at Houston Cougars 8:30 pm EST

East Tennessee St. –1.5 (3 Units)

East Tennessee St. returns all of the cogs of their Southern Conference Championship team from last season including all 5 starters and 8 of their top 9 players. The Buccaneers put a scare into Wake Forest in the first round of the NCAA Tournament before losing 86-83. The only part missing from last year is their coach, Ed DeChellis, who went on to coach Penn St. However, taking over is Murray Bartow, the former UAB coach who had plenty of success with the Blazers.

Leading the Bucs is Southern Conference preseason Player of the Year Zakee Wadood. Wadood averaged 14.7 ppg and 8.1 rpg last season. Running the team is point guard Tim Smith, who averaged 15.3 ppg and 3.7 apg as a freshman and was also named to the preseason all-conference team. The Bucs lost their only exhibition game this preseason to Global Sports 85-83 but it was a good test to start off their season. Global Sports isn’t the typical patsy that most schools play in the preseason. They also defeated LSU and Southern Miss during their exhibition run. “When we made the decision to play a good team like this it was because we wanted to prepare for our season”, Bartow said. “This game will do that as we get ready for our season opener at Houston next week.” all 5 starters finished in double figures for the Bucs led by senior forward Jerald field who put down 23 points.

Houston will be once again rebuilding as they lost their best player from a year ago in Louis Truscott. The Cougars won 18 games 2 years ago and that total dipped to 8 last season. They are led by Andre Owens, their leading returning scorer with 13.9 ppg. Owens had the luxury of Truscott underneath but the frontcourt of the Cougars is thin and inexperienced as their starters this season bring over only 4.5 ppg and 5.2 rpg from a year ago. Houston narrowly defeated the Texas Blue Chips in their lone preseason game 81-77. Owens put up 30 points showing how much he means to this team and what kind of a one man show it looks to be unless somebody else steps up and takes off some of the scoring load. Even though the Bucs are in a lower conference, their talent is much better and their experience alone should carry them to the win on Friday.
