The Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant visit the struggling Chicago Bulls tonight trying to rebound from their first loss in 12 games. Bryant suffered a broken index finger in a home win against Miami that seemed to effect him in a 102-94 loss at Utah on Saturday when he finished with a season low 16 points on 7 of 24 shooting. Bryant is averaging 27.8 points and all five starters finished in double figures but failed to reach 100 points for the fifth time this season when they lost to Utah. Chicago has lost 10 of 12 and the Lakers are 10-0 against teams with sub .500 records. The Lakers have won five straight over the Bulls including the last two in Chicago as Kobe Bryant has averaged 26.6 points in his last eight games at the United Center. Chicago shot a season low 32.6 percent in a 106-80 loss to Boston on Saturday as Derrick Rose finished with a team high 19 points but scored only eight in the second half when the Bulls were outscored 52-34 by the Celtics. Chicago has been outscored by an average of 21.8 points while scoring only 85.8 per game in their last five losses which will be a major problem against this Lakers team. The Bulls will be overmatched on every position on the court tonight except for at the point guard position and when these teams to go to the bench, it will get even worse for the Bulls tonight. If you cannot score, you don't have a chance against the World Champions and coming off of a loss, this will be a very bad spot for the struggling Chicago Bulls.
