The Utah Jazz have won the past five games on their home floor but they face the Orlando Magic who look for a seventh consecutive win overall and a ninth consecutive road victory tonight. Orlando has won eight in a row on the road after Dwight Howard led them with 25 points, 11 rebounds and seven blocks in a 97-86 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday and a win tonight would give the Magic their best 22-game start in franchise history. Howard is averaging 22.0 points, 13.6 rebounds and 3.2 blocks during the Magic's six-game winning streak and Vince Carter has been the Magic's go-to perimeter scorer on the road. Carter is coming off a so so game but averaged 24.3 points in the team's six previous road games and he has had success in Salt Lake City as the eight-time All-Star has scored at least 30 points in four of his eight career games in Utah. The Magic have also has success in Utah as they swept the Jazz last season which included a 103-94 road victory on Dec. 13th last year when Dwight Howard sat out with a sore left knee but Rashard Lewis had 27 in that win. In their victory in Orlando, Howard had 28 points and 20 rebounds in a 105-87 win on March 15 although the Jazz didn't have Carlos Boozer. Boozer has returned to his All-Star form lately averaging 26.7 points in seven games before facing the Lakers on Wednesday when he had eight first-half points as Utah jumped out to a 52-48 lead but the Jazz were held to 19 points in the third and six in the fourth as Los Angeles turned a halftime deficit into a 101-77 blowout. Utah will have the same problem they had against the Lakers which is rebounding as thier center Mehmet Okur averaged 7.5 points and shot 2 of 20 in Utah's two losses to Orlando last season. He will once again have no chance against the best center in the league Dwight Howard especially playing on a back to back when he got absolutely destroyed last night against the Lakers as this hot Orlano Magic team will win their 9th straight on the road tonight.
