    (409) Houston Texans at (410) Buffalo Bills 1:00 pm EST

    Buffalo –7 (3 Units)

The Bills' playoff chances are quickly diminishing, which makes this game a must-win for head coach Gregg Williams and his team. They catch a Houston team that is severely banged up on defense and they should exploit this on their home field after losing three of their last four games.

It's no secret that Bledsoe's immobility is his biggest weakness, and to mask that, the Bills must be able to run the ball effectively. Last week Henry was held to 80 yards, and as a result, the Cowboys turned their pass rush loose on a stationary target. If the Bills' passing game is to get back on track, Bledsoe will need stronger support from his rushing attack. The Bengals were able to take advantage of the thin defense of Houston by running for 240 yards. Expect the Bills to go after them as well. The Bills have converted 153 first downs this season, and while that number is right on par with the rest of the league, the manner in which they have converted them is what sets them apart. Ninety-nine first downs have come from passes, in contrast to only 42 from runs. The Bills love to throw the ball and do so even on third-and-short, but against a Houston front three that is both undersized and inexperienced as a result of injuries, they should be able to run the ball more effectively on third downs this week when the Texans look to blitz Bledsoe.

Nineteen different players have started on defense for the Texans, who trotted out the same 11 starters all but one game last season when the unit was essentially injury-free. That's been far from the case in 2003, and the proof is in the results. The Texans rank at or near the bottom in nearly every defensive category. Antwan Peek will miss Sunday's game at Buffalo, leaving the Texans dangerously thin at a position depleted by injuries. With Peek and Charlie Clemons hobbled by injuries, six-year veteran Steve Foley is preparing to make his first start of the season at right outside linebacker. Coach Dom Capers said rookie Shantee Orr, currently on the practice squad, also is an option.

Much of Buffalo's offensive woes have come away from home, where they haven't scored a touchdown in four road games. Bills wide receiver Eric Moulds is questionable for Sunday but is expected to play. Moulds said that he expects to play hurt for the remainder of the season. Defensively, the Bills can afford to put eight men in the box to slow Domanick Davis saved by a secondary that’s second only to the Cowboys in the NFL, allowing just 162 yards per game. This is the time of the year the Bills usually prosper as they have covered 15 of their last 19 at home in weeks 10-13.

A note on our free selection - Moulds is inactive today. It doesn't change the play however as he hasn't been very effective with his injury anyway. All 5 of our plays go at 1:00 pm EST today so don't miss out on another huge day.
