Sacramento Kings at Portland Trailblazers 10:05 pm EST

    Sacramento –1 (2 Units)

The Blazers are coming off a win against Toronto extending their winning streak to 2 games but they are still a team in disarray. The offense has scored 90 points only twice in their last 5 games and they are averaging just 89.6 ppg on the season. The confidence level is low and even their win against the Raptors showed that. "Right now, I mean wins are wins, but Toronto came in struggling bad on the road, and we barely beat them," Jeff McInnis said. "So we have to look at ourselves. I mean, this team scored four points in a quarter once this season, and they were playing with us . . . and we are supposed to be a good team. I guess we'll see how good we really are Thursday against Sacramento." The Blazers were again in a nip-and-tuck game against a team that isn't expected to do much this season, leaving an uneasy feeling to where exactly this team stands. "I think we are one of those teams that you'll know where we are once we get there," McInnis said. "Right now, it's hard to tell."

The Kings meanwhile are putting up 101.3 ppg and they are 2nd in the league in FG shooting (46%) and 4th in 3FG shooting (39%). They got back on a winning note with their victory over Detroit on Tuesday and will use that as a momentum boost after losing 3 of their last 4 games on the road. The defense played well in the win holding Detroit to only 9 assists, a Kings franchise opponent low. The Kings' defense deserves some credit for challenging shots, but coach Rick Adelman said his team remained guilty of poor execution at that end of the floor. With the Blazers up next, now is the time to focus on that end of the floor.
