The Diamondbacks starting pitcher Doug Davis has been pitching very well but just doesn't have the wins to show for it due to a lack of run support. Davis has allowed just two earned runs during his three game no-decision streak and has now lowered his ERA to 3.15 which ranks him in the top twelve in major league baseball. The D-Backs should be able to provide Davis with enough run support against San Diego's starting pitcher Kevin Correia who has allowed eight earned runs in eleven innings this season against Arizona. The Padres are 27th in the Major Leagues in batting against left handed starters and I look for another strong effort by Davis here. Play on Arizona.
