The Astros are in last place, seven games back in the National League Central Division under their Manager Cecil Cooper with a record of 25-30. They have been putting some runs on the board, and look to move out of their Division basement with a win tonight. Brad Moehler (2-3, 6.37) gets the nod for the Astros this evening. The Astros have won four out of the Right-hander's last five starts. They look to turn around their recent poor performances versus Lilly and the Cubs.
The Cubs enter this Division match up under their long-tenured MLB Manager Lou Piniella with a record of 28-26. They continue on their nine-game, three rival Road Trip, and are 3-2 so far, with most being one-run games. Ted Lilly (6-4, 3.28) takes the nod for the Cubs this evening. The Lefty has been masterful against the Astros, but his recent events this year have been close with two one-run wins and two losses in his starts.
