A rebound was in order last night.......
4-1 on the evening.
I will have my thoughts on the MLB postseason up by Monday.
Here's what I am on tonight.
2* Washington +230
This contest is played for value alone. Get value and cash in on it. The Nationals have played Philly very well of late and with the added pressure of the division hanging in the balance the Phills may crumble under pressure. I feel the Mets will lose tonight as well. The Nats finished last again in the division and are playing spoiler. They want this first game and they have one of the better starters facing the Phills tonight. Balester is only allowing 3 earned runs over the course of his road starts in 2008 as a starter. Even more impressive he has managed to hold the Phills to only 5 ER in 12 innings. Blanton hasnt had that easy a time as he has allowed 8 runs in just 9 innings against this team. Look for the Nats to shock many tonight as they win this one.
2* NYY/Bos Over 9
The over has hit 4 of the last 5 meetings between these teams. Dice K is going tonight and that doesnt help the Sox. Dice has had his troubles with New York. He averages over 4 ER per start against the Yanks and I expect no different tonight. Yanks should be able to get at least 6 runs across in this one as they also have a decent time against the Sox pen. Aceves has looked impressive in his few starts this season for NY. He has played under in all 3 starts but Dice Ks 3 home starts have played over against the Yanks. Aceves hasnt faced pressure like he will tonight. The Sox always come ready to score runs and this one should clear the low total of 9 tonight. TOTAL SYSTEM PLAY.
1.5* Tex/LAA Over 8.5
This game has the total at a super low 8.5 runs. This one should go to at least 10+ as have many of the meetings between these teams. Padilla faces off against Lackey who had shut Texas down in the last meeting between these clubs. Dont expect the same results. Vincente Padilla has played Overs at LA, 4 times out of last 4 outings. He is averaging over 4 ER allowed. The Angels are scoring an average of close to 6 runs over his last 4 road starts. Lackeys sheet isnt much better at home. Hes allowed 8 earned in his last two home starts vs. Tex, and 18 ER over his last 5 home starts against them. Texas averages an even 5 runs over those 5 starts. Should see a 6-5 game here but undoubtedly this one should clear the low posted total.
Innings: Will there be a score in 1st?
2* Tor/Bal (Yes -130)
2* Tex/LAA (Yes +100)
I also have leans on LA/SF over, Florida and the Yanks. I am not playing them though. Not for record.
