Tampa is back home off a horrendous road trip which saw them lose all 5 games. Now they will look to get healthy against a medicore Seattle team that comes in off a home shutout win over an equally inept Milwaukee team that was shut down by Seattle Ace Felix Hernandez. That win sets the Mariners up in some negative indictors for this game. As a team the Mariners have lost 12 straight as a road dog of +140 or higher when coming off a home win, and 10 of those 12 losses were by more than 1 run. There is also a Solid League wide system as seen below that applies in this game. We want to play on home favorites like Tampa that are -140 or higher and coming in off a road loss, if they scored 2 or less runs and had 4 or less hits in the loss, vs an opponent like Seattle that scored 4 or less runs in their last game if the posted total in this game is 8 or less. These home teams are a solid 27-5 if we stop right there. However, if we insist our home team is favored at -200 or more that 27-5 System shoots to 6-0 and the average win is by 5.5 runs per game. So its easy to see why we will recommend a run line play on Tampa Bay at -1.5 runs tonight.
