The Blue Jays trail the American League East Division under their new "old" Manager Cito Gaston with a record of 37-41 on the season. They have won two in a row after losing seven games in a row. Roy Halladay (8-6, 2.90) takes the mound for the Jays tonight. The Right-hander left his last start at the Pirates on Friday after he was struck near the right temple by a line drive, but he has checked out ok. The Jays Ace is is 17-8 with a 3.00 ERA in 32 lifetime Interleague games. Positive trends for the Blue Jays include 3-0 when the Total is this low, and 31-26 versus Right-handed starters.
The Reds trail the National League Central Division at 35-43 under their Manager Dusty Baker. They are on a current 2-7 losing skein, and have been getting clobbered in some events. Aaron Harang (3-10, 4.33 ERA) gets the nod for the Reds this evening. The Right-hander is 1-5 with a 6.63 ERA in his last seven appearances. Negative trends for the Reds include 8-19 versus losing teams, and 14-26 on the Road.
