The World Champion Red Sox under their Manager Terry Francona have started the season out of the American League East Division with a record of 4-4. After traveling halfway around the world and back, they won their Home Opener yesterday. Lefty Jon Lester takes the mound for the Sox tonight, and he stands at 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA on the season. The Red Sox went 51-30 during the regular season at Fenway Park last year and 7-1 in the post season on their way to their second World Series title in four years, and look like a Good Free Play here like yesterday.
The Tigers under Manager Jim Leyland are 0-7 on the new season out of the American League Central Division. They have not started hitting yet, but their season will turn around as they look to be a quality team. Right-hander Jeremy Bonderman gets the nod here. He holds a record of 0-1 with a 5.68 ERA after a 4-1 Home loss versus the Royals where he went 6 1/3 innings. The Tigers face more and more pressure each day they lose during this skein, and being on the Road at Fenway doesn't help.

The Orioles aren't expected to do much again this season out of the tough American League East Division, and they have started the year at 3-1 under their Manager Dave Trembley. They look to grab their third win in a row this afternoon in this four-game set as Jeremy Guthrie takes the mound. The O's are playing well, the field will be wet, and the Runs look pretty good here at low odds. In Run line Plays the game must be completed in its entirety else the Play is "off", and the Home team will always get the last at bat to at least keep it close when not in the lead.
The Mariners under Manager John McLaren are 2-3 on the new season out of the American League West Division. They haven't shown much in the way of Offense so far, and have lost three out of their last four events. The Mariners scratched P Bedard from this one, and instead Felix Hernandez gets the nod here. They look to even this Series with wins today and tomorrow before heading south to the Devil Rays on this seven-game Road Trip.

Positive trends include 12-8 ATS after Conference Play, 8-4 ATS on the Road when the Total is in this point range, and 55-45 ATS as Dogs.
The Monarchs enter the CBI under their Head Coach Blaine Taylor out of the Colonial Athletic Conference, and hold a record of 17-15 SU, and 12-15 ATS on the year. They failed in their Conference Tourney as Favorites after a Bye, and now enter this lesser event. Negative trends for the Monarchs include 2-8 ATS in March, 13-22 ATS in Tourney Play, and 3-7 ATS in non-Conference Play.
