The New Jersey Nets will have an entirely new look one day after trading away nine-time All-star Jason Kidd when they host the Chicago Bulls tonight. New Jersey is 23-30 overall before they sent Jason Kidd, forward Malik Allen and swingman Antoine Wright to Dallas on Tuesday for point guard Devin Harris, center DeSagana Diop and swingmen Maurice Ager and Trenton Hassell plus forward Keith Van Horn. Harris will take over Kidd who lead the league with 12 triple doubles as he is averaging career highs of 14.4 points and 5.3 assists, but missed the Mavericks' last 10 games with a bone bruise on his left ankle. The Nets won 12 straight home games over the Bulls and beat Chicago 112-103 in overtime at the Meadowlands. Vince Carter had 24 points and nine rebounds in the opener and is averaging 26.3 points and 8.2 boards in six home games against them. Richard Jefferson had 29 points and 10 rebounds against Chicago in October and is averaging 23.4 points in his last eight home games against the Bulls. The Bulls are 21-31 overall and will start the season over again with interim coach Jim Boylan. Loung Dang is expected to miss his 13th straight game with a left Achilles injury but Ben Gordon who is averaging a team-high 20.0 points might be back after missing five games with a right wrist strain. The Bulls still have too many injuries to give up points on the road against the Nets who will be exited and put a good showing on opening night with their new teammates.
