  • FREE Spread Report Online (Week Four)

    Hi,

Please find enclosed a complimentary Issue of the Spread Report Online for Week Four. The significance of week 4 is that it will be the first weekend with ALL formulas in full force. As we head into the heart of the Season, I'm convinced that the Report will be a strong help in aiding in your decision making process. The feedback on this year's version of the SRO has been very positive: People LOVE IT!

This is a one-time promotional offer since it is the 1st week with everything going--now that the season is underway! This is the precise Issue as sent out this week except it is missing the Consensus Chart because of the different formatting at the forum. If you're interested in the chart, email me and I'll get it out to you; but it does not contain anything not listed here--it's just a visual aid.

Here's to earning your business. Thank you...

    Sincerely,
    David Toop

    Greetings...

Last week saw the first glimpse of the Turnover Super System, coming in at 3-1 ATS including two straight up wins with the Cardinals and Browns. Interestingly enough those were the two 'multiple' formula games, that is, a 2-star and 3-star.

But this weekend it gets even more exciting as all the formulas will kick in, both college and pro, including the popular College ASR's, NFL Yardage Formula, and the NFL Real Number Line which has proven really consistent with underdogs and especially during the first half of the season.

The Formulas will run full force for 11 weeks from week four through week 14; from there out we'll list the plays along with caution as the playoff picture takes shape.

*Butch Davis showed why he's gonna be a winner in the NFL. Somehow he kept the Brown's chin up despite numerous failed attempts to score deep in 49er territory including a couple during the latter half of the 3rd quarter. Just when I thought Holcomb was a bonehead for making what appeared to be some rather desparate throws, he caught fire and gained his poise. Kudos to Butch Davis.

*No surprise here that the Cardinals beat the Pack. Teams that go undefeated in pre-season are historically a virtual lock to make the playoffs, and with a new attitude brewing in the high desert, they are one 0-2 playoff (?) team that wasn't going to go 0-3. The Cards outgained their opponents in each of their first two games, are statiscally better offensively and defensively than the Packers, had the Turnover Super System working for them, and getting a TD at home. Nice win, no surprise here.

*Rams on the other hand couldn't finish the job. Or it may be that Seattle is that good. We'll see...

*Nailed it: Late call to lay off Chargers...

*Bombed out: Miss State to actually win a game...

*Was tempted to rate Oregon and the Rams with a higher rating (flirting with ten-star on Rams), but felt it was too early in season...no rush...

*Is it just me or are we getting ripped off on the Ravens Line??? Chiefs only 3-point fave??? Go back to the latter half of last year and you'll quickly realize their current level of play is no fluke. Nevertheless, we'll be on the Ravens, but that line should be higher; however feel it's a ripe spot for Ravens to get the SU win.

*Speaking of turnover stuff, this week kicks off the Turnover Formula. I'm pulling for a nice rebound after last year's 64-60 ATS break even year (55-19 ATS in 2001).

    NFL Notes and Commentary...

    Patriots @ REDSKINS

Getting bean crew this cheap is not lilkely to happen very often. Verdict still out on just how much improved the Skins are; meanwhile Pats are still playing solid, disciplined ball even in the face of some defensive injuries. Realize Redskins are home again off home loss, but feel last week's battle with the Giants could've taken some steam out of them: PATS

    Chiefs @ RAVENS

Ravens are multiple formula play this week including the Turnover Super System. Chiefs coming off back-to-back games scoring 40+ and now on the road; teams in that setting are 0-9 ATS the last six years (0-4 last year). Chiefs could be bowl bound, but they're still human. And with their AFC West showdown next week versus Broncos, they could letdown here versus well-coached Baltimore team. Billick very good at knowing and exploiting his teams strengths: RAVENS

    Eagles @ BILLS

A week off and a road game might be just what the doctor ordered for the Eagles. Time away from their brutal fans might be a relief. Pick up a win here, and they're back in good graces. Bills keyed up for last Monday's Dolphins contest could let down a bit. Turnover Super System strong on Philly. Let's not forget this is still a well-coached team with an abundance of talent. Eagles get back on track with a road win: EAGLES

    Titans @ STEELERS

Really tough call here as Fisher's teams are always worth a shot when getting points. Feel that the home field is key here, but hard to go against Yardage Formula and points with Fisher: TITANS

    Bengals @ BROWNS

Turnover Formula on Cincy, but things figure to get worse before they get better for the Bungles--with or without Corey. Bengals outgained first two opponents (Broncos and Raiders) fairly significantly and followed up with a strong showing against the Steelers. Only problem is they are still losing and they know it. Browns will be up for this one after last week's come back road win in San Fran while Bengals are trying not to crumble again. Like Browns but tough to go against muliple formula game...I'll watch. Or maybe not.

    49ers @ VIKINGS

Tricky game. Imediate thought is to take 49ers off two losses and needing the win. Careful. Somehow San Fran regained their composure after blowing Rams game--only to blow another one against the Browns. Might be too much to take to the road, and especially against the red hot Vikings who are looking more like the real deal with each passing week. T.O.F. on Vikes, but not enough to convince me to lay points to 49ers off 2 losses: PASS

    Falcons @ PANTHERS

Well that didn't take long. Vegas caught on rather quickly (darn it) to my Superbowl Choice Panthers. Beat the defending champs and presto, just like that you're a six-point pick. As much as I like them, I'm not laying six to Doug Johnson and all that Falcon talent. Points might be worth a look in this game, but still hard to guage just how good this Panther team may or may not be: PASS

    Cards @ RAMS

Rams needed last week and blew it. On top of that, Faulk is out. In contrast, Cardinals seem to be a team on the move. Yardage Formula and T.O.F. agree on Rams, but line seems awfully high. For those reasons I'll avoid the temptation to jump all over the Rams in this must win game for them: PASS

    Jags @ TEXANS

I love this game. This line is crazy. Let's see, the better team with the better record, comparable offense, better defense, and a win over Miami, is a home dog against an 0-3 team. Okay, so they got hammered last week. Hey, that's more of a reason to go with them this week. Houston is a good football team, and they will win this ball game: TEXANS

    San Diego @ RAIDERS

Really not crazy about laying points with Raiders until they snap out of it, but I'll admit this should be the week they'll do just that. Yardage Formula on Raiders, but prefer to tease them down (see Dave's Props and Non-traditionals).

    Cowboys @ JETS

Usually love to go with former coaches versus their former team, and that is my inclination here versus struggling Jets off key division loss. On a hunch, I'm laying off: PASS

    Lions @ BRONCOS

Not sure if Mariucci will be looking ahead to his showdown next week against his former team or not, but you can bet your bottom dollar the Broncos are already thinking about next week's showdown at KC. Donkey's off two game sweep of division rivals including a road win and a Monday Night blowout of fierce Raiders. With KC on deck, just don't see how Denver can play at the same level of intensity thihs week versus Lions. Detriot a quadruple Formula Play, and while they're not 100%, they don't miss too often. Whole lotta' points, and we'll take'm with Mariucci: LIONS

    Colts @ SAINTS

Gotta' like the Saints here. Besides the fact that they are a Quadruple Formula Game, this game just begs for a play on the talented Saints at home off a loss versus the can't put three good games together back to back Colts. Saints win: SAINTS

    Packers @ BEARS

Awefully small number. Good spot for Chicago to get on track. I just don't think they got enough to do it. That is, to go toe to toe with Brett Farve on Monday night coming off a loss. Number is small: PACKERS
