Personally, I believe that the vast majority of handicappers/bettors, would be far better off giving much less concern to what the "public" is doing. The so-called, smart money, trap bet numbers, late money moves, etc. are all simply Vegas jargon that make for better barroom conversation than handicapping information.
It is extremely difficult to know where wagered money is actually coming from. To draw conclusions from posted messages in forums and message boards is absurd. The idea that the "public" teams, that "everyone is on" are automatic losers, is ridiculous at best. Why do so many people think that the key to winning, is to actuallly be on the "other side" in these games? These are the very same people that think, that when a line on a game isn't what they expected it to be, it's a "trap bet". This type of thinking, is a losing way at looking at the world of sports betting.
Handicapping and wagering success are based on some very simple fundamentals; that require reliable information and hours of hard work. There are no short-cuts.
Good luck with the remainder of the Football sesson.
