                Oklahoma State Cowboys +13.5 (1*)

This is the "TOP" game of the early day and you don't want to miss out on the Cowboys plus the points here. Pittsburgh is coming off that very dramatic win over Washington (on the road) but it has now been about seven days since they have stepped on the hardcourt for a basketball game and after such drama, that's just too much for me. I know some of you might be concerned at the fact that Pittsburgh has a 7-0 home record and that they have won every home game by double digits but keep in mind that only three of those games were lined games and the rest were against opponents not worthy of mentioning. There is no Aaron Gray and no Carl Krauser this season but Pitt has some emerging stars on this team and they are usually a treat to watch. The Panthers are 54-1 SU at the Petersen Events Center versus non-conference opponents and have won 26 straight home games versus non-conference opponents. After suffering really bad losses to Illinois and Marquette in Maui, Oklahoma State bounced back and won three straight games by an average of 17.3 points per game, including a 96-71 win over Washington (who Pittsburgh just beat 75-74 last Saturday). The Cowboys are only 1-3 ATS away from home this season but most of those games came in Maui and the team had not put together a string of confidence boosting wins needed to compete. The Panthers are tough to score on because they allow only 57.0 points per game this and opponents shoot only 37.6% against them but Oklahoma State can put some points on the board as they average 75.5 points per game. There is no question in Coach Sutton's mind that his team is badly outmatched in the size department for this game but his defense has generated 22.8 turnovers per game this season (NCAA average is 15.3) and anytime your defense can make plays like that, your team will have a shot at fast break points. This is a rematch from last season's 95-89 double overtime win by the Cowboys so you know the Panthers are going to want some revenge. The only problem I have with that is that the points are just way too much for two teams who have been off for more than a week seeing how Oklahoma State blewout their only common opponent while Pitt had problems beating the Huskies and needed to be saved by video replay to win that game. I know the Panthers are solid but I think Oklahoma State keeps this close and possibly pulls off the shocking win with huge game by James Anderson.

Trend of the Game: Pittsburgh is 1-7 ATS in their last eight Saturday games.

                Oklahoma State 68, Pittsburgh 67
