The Memphis Tigers are in a terrible spot here with a very short week prior and having a conference revenge game on deck next Tuesday vs. Marshall, which will obviously carry far more importance. They will be playing three games in 10 days. This is a rescheduled game from the cancelled event that occurred a few weeks back with a weather issue. This game will carry more weight for a very solid and resilient Arky State team, who get a very poor traveler on their home field. The Memphis Tigers have only won ONE game over Division 1A teams in the past thirteen tries and the defense has multiple issues, unable to stop anyone and ill-suited for the 3-4 scheme that they play.
Last week at Central Florida, they were down 49-0 before the 3rd quarter ended. Arky State owns a win over these same Tigers AT Memphis last year and now get to bring them in to their home field in a scheduling spot that is extremely favorable. Even with the pointspread swing from Memphis -3 prior to the first game scheduled for September 8th to the Arky State -4 line, this disinterested Memphis team will be looking too get out healthy with a short turnaround and a covering win is highly likely for the homestanding Indians. The Tigers are allowing almost 200 rushing yards per game and the Indians offensive balance should give them fits. Lay the points.
