Gruden runs a very complicated offensive scheme, and last year it was very simplified. We saw the "O" reach its peak during the playoffs last year, and now they have had another off-season and training camp to learn everything. The "D" is always strong, and it returns nearly everyone.
While Super Bowl Champs often come in flat, last year the Pats entered the season as dogs, and this provided quite a bit of motivation. I thought initially I would lean toward the home team on MNF, but Tampa came to Philly last year in an amped-up atmosphere and took care of business.
Gruden will have this team ready and motivated, and while it may be hard to keep their focus all season long, I will gladly take a FG with what I believe to be a superior offensive and defensive team. Since 1981, the defending Super Bowl Champs are 33-22-3 ATS as dogs. Watch them bite tonight!!!
