SUNDAY I HAVE A HUGE DAY ON TAP.!!
2 QUALITY PLAYS:
DALLAS @ MIAMI UNDER 41 (The Cowboys exploded for 45 points last week verses the Giants and we saw a grand total of 80 points scored in that contest. It was a shootout from start to finish and there is no doubt that while watching game films this week, the Dolphins coaching staff were already preparing to make sure that does not happen this Sunday. Miami simply cannot get into a game of that type and expect to win. They will most likely feature the strong D that they have, and the running game, hoping for a break or two along the way and a fourth quarter win. They certainly do have the horses on D to stop this Dallas team, ranking 4th overall last year in the NFL and they were especially potent in this stadium, limiting the Jets to just 13 in the final game last year and before that New England to ZERO Points. The Dallas D is much stronger than suggested last week as well and any Wade Phillips team that allows as many points as they did last night is going to get a tongue lashing the following week while watching game films. While the Dolphin offensive attack is improved, they still lack the ability to put very many points on the board. That was evident last week verses the Redskins with just 260 Total yards obtained in their 16-13 loss. The better D's of the league generally get off to good start because of the liklihood of early season full health potential and that is what the Dolphins have done over recent years. That is the primary reason why Miami played games are 9-3 UNDER in September. They also happen to be 11-1 UNDER the last 12 years in week two of the season. Those trends are fine and dandy but the real focus and the real reason for this play will be the Dolphin mindset as they keep the clock moving in this contest verses a team they know can outscore them. It is as simple as that and no reason to complicate this one any further. Just take the UNDER which has moved upward to it's present level from an open of 40.) TOTAL OF THE DAY ) (VERY STRONG PLAY)
NYG -2 (Remember folks, these are still the Packers, they still have Favre at QB and he is very prone to mistakes here late in his career. The Packers are not going to be a big threat when they travel until the develope a running game. Favre cannot do it all, and when he tries, disaster happens. Even without Umenyiora in the lineup, the Giants should give the Packer QB plenty of preasure considering the GB running game that managed meager yardage last week. The Pack is not back just yet and this small home spot looks just dandy to me.)
