Tonight's contest between Indianapolis and Dallas has many of the same tendencies of the Hall of Fame Game. For starters, Dallas has a new Coach (Wade Phillips) that is going to play most of his starters the entire 1st quarter. Dallas will be going against an Indianapolis team that will have 12 regular players that will see NO playing time at all.
Indianapolis Head Coach Tony Dungy has been known to care little about Pre-Season games other than to make sure that key players are not injured, and to be able to grade and analyze untested players.
Tony Romo will be starting and reportedly playing the entire 1st quarter for Dallas. Brad Johnson will play the 2nd quarter, while rookies Matt Moore and Richard Bartel will take over in the 2nd half.
Head Coach Tony Dungy has stated that Peyton Manning will start and play 10-15 plays for Indianapolis. After that playing time will be sketchy. Jim Sorgi will probably come in after Manning, followed by Josh Betts and Rookie Mike Mcgann.
Wade Phillips will want to try and instill a winning attitude early and often in Dallas. The best way to make a bold statement, is to beat last years Super Bowl Champs!!!
Take Dallas -5 1/2 for 3-Units.
