There are up and down weeks, then there are down and up weeks. The first three days of this week, the selections suffered through times....the last three days they have prospered. Still down about 1+ units for the week after Saturday's effort (7-4 +3.89 units), but maybe a profit is still in the cards.
Saturday's plays took a wild ride with the first four plays finding paydirt (NY Mets, St Louis, Houston, and Arizona), will all winning by the slimmest of margins. The next four plays bit the dust (Detroit, Cincy, Cleveland, Toronto), with chances for a couple to make it. Finally, the session ended with three wins (Baltimore, Kansas City, and Boston) in dramatic fashion. Baltimore seized control in the middle innings, only to see NY rally in the 9th before Baltimore slammed the door in a 7-5 decision. KC made it interesting allowing two 9th inning runs in a 6-5 win over Texas. Then Boston closer Papelbon surrenders two run shot in 9th to tie game and 6....then Red Sox score 6 in the 12th for a 12-6 win.
After grinding out a tough night like that, I think I aged a year of two. I'll take the profits, thankfully, and high step my way through to Sunday.
While gloom and despair appeared after Wednesday, a legitimate shot at another profitable week still exists. That in itself is a minor miracle, so I have plenty to be thankful for already. A fourth straight winning day would be the icing on the cake, and I have worked like a ditch digger in hopes of finding the mark today. Here are the selections I am playing to close out a whirlwind week.....
Cincinnati (Belisle) +138
Milwaukee (Gallardo) (-1.5) +125
Los Angeles(NL) (Billingsley) -108
San Francisco (Morris) -107
Arizona (Hernandez) +123
Clevleland (Sabathia) (-1.5) +112
Baltimore (Cabrera) +160
Boston (Matsuzaka) (-1.5) +113
Toronto (Marcum) +108
Oakland (DiNardo) +121
Detroit (Bonderman) -130
GOOD LUCK to everyone on your action today!!!
