7:00 Detroit Lions +3 over Buffalo Bills
The Lions have had a solid pre season going 2-1 SU & ATS and scoring 24.7 [points per game in those 3 games. Tonight they will face the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are not noted for their great pre season play. Buffalo is just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 pre season football games overall. The lions beat the Bills last season in the pre season by the final score of 20-13. With that in mind we like our chances with the underdog Lions in this spot.
8:00 Washington Redskins +3 over Jacksonville Jaguars
The Redskins looked so good last week against the Ravens we had to take a closer look into this game. Washington dominated the Ravens and won the game by a convincing 24-3. The Jag's come into this game against the NFC east Redskins just 3-6 ATS in non conference pre season games over the last 3 seasons. The Redskins looked sharp last week and we feel they will play the same type of game tonight wit another week of practice under their belt. We like our chances with the Redskins over Jacksonville tonight.
8:00 Oakland Raiders @ Dallas Cowboys UNDER 35
The UNDER is an amazing 33-16 in the last 49 Dallas Cowboy pre season games dating all the way back to 1993. The UNDER is 11-0 in the Raiders last 11 games against non conference opponents in the pre season. Oakland has struggled on offense scoring just 7.7 points per game in the pre season. With this being the final week of the pre season look fro Oakland to sit many of their veterans and to have the second & third offensive units out on the field most of the game. With that in mid look for this game to finish out UNDER the total.
7:30 Miami of Florida -28 over Louisiana Tech
The Canes defense should once again be solid. Miami, last season 4th ranked defense in the country, is returning 7 starters on defense from a year ago. The Canes will lose 3 year starter Ken Dorsey this season but have a ton of talent & speed to make up for the absence of Dorsey. Last Season the Bulldogs defense was ranked 104th in the country. That is not good news as they get set to play National Powerhouse Miami. Look for the Canes to do plenty of scoring and we like our chances with Miami of Florida in their season opener.
7:05 Cleveland -80 (Lee 2-1 2.25, L3 2-1 2.25) over Detroit (Bonderman 6-17 5.00, L3 1-2 4.74)
The Tigers are just 5-29 (-12 units) thus far in the month of August. The Indians have had a solid month of August going 14-11 so far this month. The Tigers are just 7-26 against left handed starters. They will face Cleveland's solid Clifton Lee. Lee has allowed just 5 earned runs in over 20 innings of work on the season. Look for Cleveland to get a solid outing out of Clifton lee and we feel the Indians will grab the cash tonight against the lowly Detroit Tigers.
8:10 Cubs +30 (Zambrano 12-9 2.92, L3 2-1 1.08) over St. Louis (Morris 8-6 4.06, L3 0-1 5.06)
The Cubs fell apart late last night and lost a tough game to these very same Cardinals. That loss snapped the Cubs to game winning streak. Chicago will try to get back on track with Carlos Zambrano. Zambrano is a remarkable 7-4 with a 2.61 ERA on the road this season. St. Louis will counter with Matt Morris. this will be Morris' second start off of the DL. Morris has been hot hard as of late allowing 16 hits in his last 10+ innings of work. Look for this game to be a pitchers duel and we lie our chances of Zambrano and the Cubs prevailing tonight in Busch Stadium.
