Atlanta Hawks at Charlotte Bobcats 7:00 PM ET

    Charlotte Bobcats -5 -105

Charlotte has a bit of an edge in emotion with Emeka Okafor making his return tonight after missing 15 games with a calf injury. The Bobcats went just 4-11 in the games he missed which was a disappointment after putting together a very solid 15-13 run in their previous 28 games. Charlotte comes in off a disappointing home loss in overtime to New Jersey but it has been impressive at home following a home loss, going 12-6 on the season next time out. The Bobcats are 8-5 in their last 13 games at home.

Atlanta was thinking playoffs not so long ago but four straight losses have put a dash on that dream and the Hawks are now just playing out the season. After feel-good wins in their first four games after Joe Johnson went down with a bruised calf against the Heat on March 5th, the Hawks have lost six of their last seven and are now six games out of the final playoff spot with four teams in front of them. This is one team that Charlotte has had great success against as the Bobcats have won seven of the last nine meetings including three of the last four at home.

Injuries have plagued the Bobcats all season as not only Okafor, but Gerald Wallace, the current Eastern Conference Player of the Week, sat out Saturday's home loss to the New Jersey Nets, as did point guard Raymond Felton. The Bobcats have missed a total of 162 games due to injury this season and their health woes have led to 23 different starting lineups, fifth most in the NBA this season. All will be back tonight however and the Bobcats should be as deep tonight as at any time this season.

Atlanta has been abysmal on the road, losing eight straight games while getting outscored by 15.5 ppg in those contests. The Hawks have been outscored by at least 17 points in five of those eight games. If it weren’t for the injuries, who knows what could have happened for the Bobcats as they have played very well at times. The Bobcats have split the season series with title contenders Cleveland, Detroit, San Antonio and Utah while sweeping the Lakers. Charlotte will have much more energy and take it to the Hawks yet again. Play Charlotte Bobcats 1 Unit

Houston Rockets at Los Angeles Clippers 10:00 PM ET

      Los Angeles Clippers +2 -105

Now that Yao is back, the Rockets have a great chance to get the homecort edge in their anticipated playoff series with the Jazz. The Clippers have rebounded from a five-game losing streak by winning four straight (five of six) and now are two games clear of the Warriors for the West's final playoff spot. The Clipps are also just 1 1/2 games back of the Nuggets, for the seven-seed. Maggette has averaged 23.0 PPG over his last five, helping to make up some of the points the Clippers miss from Sam Cassell (continues to miss with back problems). While this has been a road-dominated series TY (visitor is 3-0 ATS), I like the way the Clippers are playing right now. In their four straight wins, they are averaging 105.5 PPG on 50% shooting. That comes after a seven-game stretch in which the team averaged just 89.9 PPG. The Rockets are a tough defensive team (2nd-best in PPG allowed in the league) but I'm taking the suddenly hot Clippers as a home dog! Play Los Angeles Clippers
