Detroit Pistons at Seattle Supersonics 10:00 PM ET

    Detroit Pistons -3 -110

Detroit is back into a small groove with two straight wins which came on the heels of two straight losses at home. This is the third game of a five-game road trip and the Pistons should not be completely tested until the final leg of the trip at Phoenix. They took out two playoff contenders in the first two games by an average of 15.5 ppg and now play two of the bottom three teams in the Western Conference before taking on the Suns. Detroit is now a very respectable 13-10 against the Western Conference including 7-3 on the road.

Seattle is back home following a short four-game east coast road trip in which it lost the last three contests. The Sonics made a short run a while back but it is once again stuck in neutral and the playoffs are no longer a possibility. Seattle, once known as one of the toughest places for visiting teams, is just 18-13 at home this season despite five straight victories. The last four have come against teams all with losing records and a combined 65 games under .500. The Sonics have dropped four straight in this series.

The loss of Luke Ridnour has been a tough blow for the Sonics and it is showing at the point guard position. He was originally scheduled to return tonight but has since been rules as out and won’t go until Saturday. The depth at this position for Seattle is extremely thin and it has come to light during the three-game skid. The Sonics once looked at this most recent road trip against seemingly inferior Eastern Conference teams as a springboard to a late run but after the final three losses, it turned into a fatal blow to a frustrating season.

Seattle is struggling once again on defense and its season long problems set up a situation on Tuesday. Play on all teams where the line is +3 to -3, a team that is allowing fewer than 95 ppg on the season and coming off a game of giving up fewer than 85 points, going against a team that is allowing more than 98 ppg on defense in the second half of the season. This situation is 26-5 ATS (83.9 percent) over the last 5 seasons with the average point differential being +7.7 ppg. Look for the Pistons to keep rolling on Tuesday. Play Detroit Pistons 1.5 Units
