Today we like Atlanta (Hampton -165) against Los Angeles (Ashby). There a few reasons why we like the Braves today. First, the Braves have remained hot pretty much through the whole season, and are winners of six out of their last ten games. The Dodgers were hot through one streak, and have since cooled off to the tune of three wins over their last ten and losing four straight. Second, Hampton has been dynamite over his last six or so starts, raising his record to 7-5 on the season. Hampton is 2-0 with a 3.60 Era over his last three starts and has been strong in every game. Ashby is 0-3 with a 4.58 Era over his last three games and the Dodgers are 2-7 in his nine starts. Lastly, the Dodgers lineup has no way of competing with the Brave lineup even with all of the recent additions. They grabbed Burnitz, Henderson, and even Ventura, but were still shut out last night and continue to be one of the worst offensive teams in the NL.
