MARSHALL THUNDERING HERD @ SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI GOLDEN EAGLES SAT NOVEMBER 25TH @ 7:30 PM EST
The Herd comes into this game with revenge on their mind after losing in overtime last year at home. A game they should have won, but missed three field goals late in the game and in OT. Five weeks ago you would have given them little chance against the Golden Eagles as they stood a miserable 1-5. Since then they have reeled off four victories and were close to making it five in their only loss. USM is 4-6 ATS overall, and will record another winning season, the 13th in a row, but they have some chinks in their armour.
They really don't throw the football very well at 117 yards per game and a 9-6 TD to interception ratio. Marshall on the other hand averages close to 28 points per game, and has a definitive edge on offense with a #45 to #79 ranking. Marshall special teams are much better, and their running back Ahmad Bradshaw ran for 261 yards last week (school record), and is clearly one if not the best in Conference USA. It is important to note that Southern Miss is 2-7 ATS in home finales. This will be a toughly contested contest Take Marshall!
