We at Red Zone Sports are happiest when we can find a nice underdog winner for our faithful followers. Ladies and Gents here is this weeks DOGGIE! The Lobos come in as a 6.5 point underdog to the Rams. Neither team has set the world on fire, but appear headed in different directions. The Lobos have recorded two consecutive wins, while CSU is coming off two straight defeats. In terms of common opponents, New Mexico has lost to Big 12 power Missouri by 10, and Air Force and Wyoming in games they could have easily won. Colorado State on the other hand lost handily to both of these teams by three touchdowns!
Statiscally, neither team holds any real edge, in that their passing and rushing yards per game are very equal. It should be noted though that CSU only rushed for 42 yards on the ground last week against Wyoming. Some significant trends tell the story of where the outcome of this game is headed. New Mexico is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 road games versus CSU. They are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 and 7-4 ATS prior to a bye week. Most importantly, 10 of the last 13 games in this series have been decided by single digits. With New Mexico getting almost a touchdown, and playing with revenge after losing last year 36-25 we love the Lobos.
