Wake Forest +2 over Mississippi: After an opening week win vs a Memphis team that was playing their first game without RB Deangelo Williams in a couple of years, The Mississippi Rebels have done nothing in their next 2 games vs Missouri and Kentucky, losing both games by a combined 65-21 count. Part of the reason for the down slide has been a defense that is ranked 97th in points allowed (30ppg), 101st in total defense (408ypg) and 104th in passing defense (256ypg). On offense the Rebs haven't fared much better as they are 100th in scoring (16ppg) and 113th in total offense (224ypg). The only bright spot for them on offense is their abilty to run the ball as they are averging 172 ypg on the ground (34th in nation), but that plays right into the hands of the Demon deacons as they are allowing just 93 ypg on the ground. Wake Forest offense isn't spectacular overall but the defense is very good and should be able to creat turnovers and give their offense some short fields to work with. Wake Forest is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog of 0.5-3.0 and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win. Ole Miss is 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games in September and 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game. The wrong team is favored here and with edges on both sides of the ball I expect Wake to pull the minor upset.
