NY Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies
The Phillies HOPE to complete one of their most impressive
sweeps in recent history, when they take on the New York
Mets in the finale of a four-game set.
John Maine Mets SP will try to help the Mets avoid their
first four-game sweep to the Phillies since September 4-7,
2003. Maine only has faced the Phillies earlier this year, holding them to three hits in six scoreless innings of an 8-1 victory on August 6.
Philadelphia counters with rookie Scott Mathieson who has not made it out of the fourth inning in either of his last two starts. He has already lost to the Mets earlier this year.
It is very rare that a MLB team gets sweep in a 4 game series and it ain’t gonna happen today !!!
