Play ON a rookie coach eager to get a win.
New coaches like to win in the preseason, although some “new” coaches aren’t new at all. Veteran head coaches that are simply changing cities do not figure to make winning an exhibition game a high priority. Other new coaches, however, are testing the waters for the first time and eager to get a victory, even an exhibition win.
Romeo Crennel got his first head coaching job last year with Cleveland. He did well and PRO INFO SPORTS was there to take advantage as we made his Browns a 4 STAR SELECTION as a 5’-point underdog when we wrote:
“Crennel is getting his first crack at being captain of the ship, and he is naturally eager to get all the wins he can to prove to himself, the team owner, and the rest of the league that they can win.
