TAMPA BAY DEVILS @ WASHINGTON NATIONALS SAT JULY IST 7:05 PM EST
This game pits two cellar dwellers, both 15 games out of first in their respective divisions, and headed nowhere. There is one sterling difference that has RED ZONE SPORTS favoring the Devils. Devils pitcher James Shields has been very strong in almost every outing, winning four games in six starts for a team that is 10 games under .500. He has a so - so 4.37 ERA, but has yet to give up a home run in 36+ innings, and has a 3 to 1 strikeout to walk ratio.
His mound opponent Livan Hernandez is a sad 6-8 (bad for a ten year veteran that previously showed great promise), with a inflated 5.57 ERA and has been whacked at a .299 clip by opposing batters. More importantly he has given up a home run every six innings, and has 43 walks to only 61 strikeouts. Livan is only 2-3 at home, and except for a four game stretch in late May early June when he won four in a row, he is 2-8. Take Tampa Bay who is as good on the road as home to win Saturday evening in DC. BIG TIME"
