  • MLB Fantasy League

    Price: $50

I did one of these for the 1st time last year and as BigMike can tell you, it didn't go well. I had some not so logical stat categories and it was a Rotiss. League which i now understand and do not like. There is not much room for movement in those once you settle into a position.

This year it is a points League. The points are listed below for the categories and they just add to your running total during the season.

I learned a few things last year by running that one and i expect this one to be much smoother because of it.

20 Teams Total and there are already 5 spots gone!

Live Draft: Fri Mar 31 9:30 pm EST

I got in real early to get a GREAT draft time 2 days before the season starts. I actually signed our League up days ago. If you can't make the live draft you can pre rank your players or let Yahoo pick them for you.

    If interested email me ***********************

I'm not waiting until the last minute for money because it will be too late to replace people if it doesn't come.

I will move this to the Pools forum when filled!

Wayne, I'm already in one with Dimer... You should also run a free Head vs Head league to see how you like that... I believe you will like how that is handled better than the point league... GL on whatever you do

Also wayne, having 20 teams is awfully alot. Who are you going to pick up on the waiver wire?? Your gonna be picking up ALOT of scrubs like eric byrnes and the mike moroths..

We have a 12 team leage with only 2 extra bench spots.. waiver wire will be stronger and good players on those teams

I'm in a head to head $50 one with ez winners in the NBA. I hate it. It's o.k. for foots when they mostly play one day a week but i like point leagues in bases. I've played in them before.

I'm not going to do a "Free" one either because quite honestly, what's the sense? If i'm not playing for nothing, i don't really care to play!

I run a MLB "Team Ball" pool that had 100 people last year along with the MLB fantasy league and 2 Nascar Leagues. That is enough until foots and i really have ZERO interest in putting together a free one buddy!

I've been in them before. It was ALOT of fun and there are many more MLB players than you think, plus, everyone is at the same disadvantage.

I play in ez's 20 team NFL League every year. Ask anyone who plays and they will tell you it's the hardest league ever. Injuries and bye weeks kill your whole season. It's part of the game and once again, we're all on equal ground going in!

            I want in wayne

I also think Head to head is the way to go but I love point leagues also.

hope there is a spot for me.

Head to head is o.k. but the best teams don't always win. You can have the most points and be in 5th place. IMO, that's just not right. This will be a TOUGH league but it will also be very challenging and fun!

You have a 25 man roster just like MLB teams and with 32 MLB teams and 20 fantasy teams ... There will be PLENTY of players!

You can still be in 1st place in a head to head league even when you lose... i dont understand what your saying buddy....

I just checked and we have an 18 man roster

I'm saying i don't want to play one team for a week. MLB teams don't and i don't want to either. Did you miss where i said i'm in a head to head as we speak and it SUCKS? I'm in 2nd place and i still hate it.

If you have the most points, you're in 1st. The 2nd most points puts you in 2nd. IMO that's how the world usually works and your team management and draft will decide that.

Doc, i'm not in it so we all can field All Star teams like you guys. Where is the strategy in that? There is none and MLB teams don't just pick up another All Star when one gets hurt. We shouldn't be able to either. If you had played in Ez's NFL league, you would understand me and where i'm coming from.

I understand where you are coming from... But, i just cant see the point of drafting somebody like marty cardova on a team... Its just a useless player IMO... But, hey gl on your league... Your the commish and you can do whatever you want
