This is the 2nd of two Nascar pools i've run the last 4 years. This one is fun and strategy is a big key here. We had about 40 people in Nascar Survivor and about 30 people in Nascar 21 last year. We had a good turnout last year with many BettorsChat people playing. I do real well in Nascar but the strategy can really get you in these. The races are definately more interesting when you are in one of these Leagues.
-----------------------------------------------------
“NASCAR 21”
Entry Fee: $25.00
Rules: You must choose 4 driver’s in all. One from each group. (One A, B, C, and D driver)
Once your lineup is set for Daytona you will be allowed 1 trade per race. You can switch 1 driver, either an A, B, C or D driver for someone else in that division. You cannot carry trades over, meaning if you don’t use a trade one week you can not make two trades the next. One per race.
The person at the end of the season that has the least amount of points is the winner!
Scoring: You get the finishing position of each driver. Example: if you have a driver that finishes in 6th place then you get 6 points. The lowest point total you can get in any given week is 10 points that is if you have the top four finishers in that race. (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th)
The beauty of the league is that you could win without doing anything but setting up a team for Daytona and riding those 4 drivers out for the season. If you don’t make any trades you will keep the 4 drivers from the previous race.
If you have a driver that doesn’t qualify or isn’t in the race than you will automatically receive 50 points for that position. I suggest you make sure your 4 drivers are in the race!
Payouts will be decided by the total number of players.
Your initial lineups must be set by February 19th for the Daytona 500.
For those of you with email I will send out the team changes before the start of each race. The standings should be out by Monday after each race.
Choose 1 driver from each division (A, B, C, & D) and email your drivers (after pmt.) anytime before Daytona. Make sure you look ahead because you will only be able to trade 1 Driver in week 2 and every week thereafter!
The 4 groups of drivers to choose from are as follows..........................
CHOOSE 1 FROM EACH DIVISION
A Drivers
----------
Jimmie Johnson
Jeff Gordon
Tony Stewart
B Drivers
-----------
Greg Biffle
Carl Edwards
Jamie McMurray

D Drivers

I doubt you have ever seen this pool anywhere before. I called it Nascar 21 because the 1st year i made it up i used 21 drivers so i kept the name each year and i always use a total of 21 drivers to make up the groups. It's my own creation and i try to break up the drivers each year into equal groups. If you are a Nascar fan you should give this a try!
