Welcome to the 2004-05 Basketball Challenge!
This is my latest creation.
Starting dates are Saturday & Sunday November 13th & 14th
The object is simple.
I will post a total of 5 NBA and or College games for Saturday and or Sunday each week.
You must pick all 5 and rate them 1-5 against the spread. A best bet would get a 5 and your least favorite would get 1.
Post all 5 of your picks in the weekly thread WITHOUT pointspreads, just the teams. I will go in between Sunday night and Wednesday to do the standings and i will post them by or on Wednesday with the following weekend's games.
We will be using the closing lines from scoresandodds.com so if you have to post your picks before Saturday keep that in mind.
If you edit your thread you get a 0 for the week. If you don't make picks you get a 0 for the week, and if you don't make picks for 2 consecutive weeks you are erased and eliminated from the pool.
There will be a total of 15 points on the line each week (5,4,3,2,1). The final game for this pool will be the NCAA Championship game. The Title game will be a 15 point game, which is equal to one week's points and a possible 30 point swing at the end!
To keep this from getting out of control i am limiting the pool to 50 people. People that have been here at least one year, or have at least 1,000 posts and don't get on the list of 50 will be "Grandfathered". That means i will extend the list to let you in. I can't do anything but put a cap on it as 100 or 200 people would simply be too much for me to handle. Sorry if you don't make it in. Look for more in the future!
I like to offer up something as an incentive. I did $100 for the "NFL Survivor" pool and for this one i'm going with a Replica Lebron James #23 Jersey by Reebok. If you do not have any interest in the prize than PLEASE do not enter. Leave your spot for someone else.I tried to upload it but couldn't get it. The picture of the prize is below..............
