2010 NBA/CBB Capping Contest

I did this one other year and it went pretty well guys. It was a lot of fun!

Start/Finish: This will start on Saturday January 30th and end on Saturday April 10th. It will last 11 Weeks.

Rules: Picks will only be for Saturday games. You must pick 5 NBA and/or CBB games on that day. You will also have to Pick the CBB Championship game on Monday April 5th. That is 12 days of picks (11 Saturdays/1 Monday) and 56 plays total. All plays for the day MUST BE entered in one post before the 1st of your 5 games start.

Scoring: All plays are vs the spread and no totals will be allowed. Sides only. Each of your 5 plays will be worth 1 point each and a push will be worth 1/2 a point. The CBB Championship game on Monday will be worth 2 points.

Lines: Closing lines from Free sports scores, lines and picks at ScoresandOdds will be used. If they do not have a line for a game or a line shown is an obvious error on their part, you will get a loss for that play.

I will post one thread each week for you to place your plays in. That thread will also include the standings.

Two questions.............. CAn we buy half points and If I play a Sat. game early and the line moves before tip-off are we adjusting point for a flat line for everyone whos on that game or will you take the line at the time of wager.

An idea Id like to see is posting our tickets from our wagering source. SORRY for the odd questions. This sounds like a lot of fun and Im probably making it sound too complicated.

Elliott, There is no buying of points because as stated, we are using closing lines from the site mentioned. You can fudge tickets and we can't be having different lines for the same games. No capping contest allows that because it simply isn't fair. Once you post your 5 games, you are stuck with the 5 you post and the closing lines that you get. Some will change but most will use the games that they don't mind possibly losing 1-2 points on because it is their 5 favorite of the day. Some will actually move in your favor too and some will not move at all. It is the same in the football contests too, you all have the same lines to use.

I bumped this back 1 week guys to Saturday January 30th. That is 2 weeks from today. I made all the adjustments in post 1 for it. I would like to get more people if possible. If not, we will start in 2 weeks with what we got. I think we have about 10-12 right now.
