  • 2007 NFL Fantasy Football Leagues

Registration @ Yahoo opened up a few days ago and i have registered two 16 team league's for this upcoming season. I have run two league's here for the past few years. Usually one league has 20 teams and the second one has whatever is left. Last year that was 14 people. The 20 team league has always been my favorite but it is also the toughest league i've ever played in because of the amount of teams. This year i will divide it equally into two league's with 16 teams in each. That should make the player pool a little better than in the past. If a 3rd league is needed, i'll cross that bridge when i come to it. Maybe i will ....... Maybe i won't.

It was good that i registered the league's right away because i got to choose some nice late August draft dates.

Some people are thinking holy shit, the NFL season is 3 months away! I know but i run ALOT of football pools and i have to get the ball rolling early in order to give everyone (including myself) the time needed to put them together.

I'm excited and it is coming quicker than you think.

I will post the rules here. Both league's are set up with the same rules and i will open this thread after i post them.

As always it will be $50 to play if you are interested and i will tell you that the live draft dates are setup for .......

    Friday August 24th @ 8:30pm EDT

    Saturday August 25th @ 5:45pm EDT

              Usually around ...

              1st - $300
              2nd - $200
              3rd - $100
              4th - $50

              Regular Season Winner $100
              Regular Season 2nd place $50

8 teams make the playoffs and if you win a 1st round game, you get money back. I've always thought that to be the fairest. I also reward the top two teams with the best regular season (In case they lose in round one of the playoffs). It also allows one of the top 2 teams in the regular season to collect 2 payouts if they can win at least one playoff game. Just finish in the top 8/half of the league ... and you have a shot at something!

If the regular season winner also wins the overall title, he would receive exactly 1/2 of the prize money and i think that works out perfectly for a wire 2 wire win.

P.S. I was lucky enough to win that Regular season and overall title last year in the big 20 team league going "Wire 2 Wire".

I'm willing to repeat that if you all want me too!

                      Great.

I need people to specify which league they want the invite from just like you and big weiner and kb did. Once one is full, people will be forced in to the other one if they want to play.

Wayne, how about a league with 16 and a $250 entry, sort of a "Big Boy League"?

I have no interest in that. Alot of people think $50 is alot. I can't imagine trying to sell spots for 5 times as much.
