To anyone considering playing in one of these leagues. Keep in mind that the settings are significantly different than a standard fantasy league and be forewarned that 90% of accepted trades in the league will be vetoed without justification and that you should hold tightly to your waiver priority because at least one top 50 player will be dropped over the course of the season. Just a heads up. Good luck to you.

That's interesting. The settings are right there posted for all to see. If they don't like them, they have the option of not playing but thanks for your concern.

Also, it's funny you say the stats are "significantly" different than most league's. Really? I can't disagree more but to each their own. Every league i have ever played in was set up very similiar to this and it goes back to years ago playing in the ez winners leagues where he had the same settings.

It's also funny how you make a point to mention a top 50 being dropped at some point. You bitched and moaned when G. Atkins was dropped earlier this year when he was slumping, yet you recently do the same exact thing when you dropped a struggling (At the time) C. Ray from your roster. He too was easily a Top player at his position before the season started but that diidn't stop you. It's funny though that nobody bitched at you when you did it. Why? ... because it's within the rules. I hope you noticed how others treated you when you did it.

Just giving a heads up in case people don't read closely, that's all.

The majority of fantasy football leagues are arranged on the basis of 1 point per 25 passing yards, 1 point per 10 receiving and rushing yards. Your yardage is double, but touchdowns are valued the same. I've also never seen a league with negative points for missed field goals and the IDP scoring cuts most values in half while leaving touchdowns the same value. In baseball, a total points league without an innings pitched limit is extremely rare. Most basketball leagues are either 8-cat or 9-cat. Yours cut out percentages and turnovers. Anyone who has played fantasy sports before, but not in one of these leagues, will almost assuredly have never seen a league in any of the sports with these settings before. That's my point.

C'mon, this is a stretch don't you think? Ray is currently the 23rd best RP in a league where starting pitching dominates and was an 11th round draft pick. BW is 1st in one league and 2nd in the other and he's gone half the season without a single closer on either team. I dropped him for Kevin Millwood, who has since scored my team 36 points. Ray has nabbed you 20 points and you're forced to keep him in your lineup 7 days a week while I rotate out starters for Millwood.

Atkins, on the other hand, is now the 11th best 3B in the league and the 33rd best player overall in the past month and was a 2nd round draft pick. In the meantime, SDR has moved from 7th in the standings to 2nd since picking up Atkins off waivers. I'm glad you like having Ray on your team, but the 2 situations are apples and oranges.

              Huh?

Majority of leagues ctt OR the majority of ones you have played in? Big difference.

Chris Ray was a top 10 closer on almost every list going into the MLB season. Don't give me that crap about where he is currently ranked cuz the same could be said of Atkins when he was cut and struggling at the time too.

Stay out of these threads if your intentions are not worth a shit.

Another stupid comment with absolutely NOTHING but negative intentions. Go check your shit before posting this crap and tell me that you were right by saying 90% of trades have been vetoed. That's fucken ridiculous and totally NOT TRUE.

Fair enough. I pulled that number out of thin air because I was too lazy to count them up. 23 vetoes and 21 trades is the true tally.

That's a HELL of alot closer to 50% than it is 90.

Keep your 2 cents OUT of these threads.

bottom line is that these leagues are fun and VERY competitive....read the league rules and the scoring setup, and then make a suggestion if you have a good one....trades are very tricky because people want to make sure things are above board and there is no collusion going on....some get thru and some don't - most of us here know our shit and you really have to earn every victory

Both League's (Friday & Saturday) are "Officially" Filled (16 people in each).

                          Thanks to all who entered!

What exactly are you trying to say here? The rules are posted before the league begins, so it's not like anyone's in the dark before these leagues begin. If you're trying to make Wayne out to be the bad guy like I think you are doing, you're only making yourself out to look like more of a fool. He has always been more than a stand up guy to everyone on this site and that's a fact! I don't know if you've paid attention, but there are also trades that get vetoed in the baseball league other than yours! Sorry I'm being so brash, but this post is total imo. I'd like to try and see you run 10-15 pools if not more year round, give out "free" contests to any member that wins one of them, and do all the other stuff he does and be as fair as he is with them. I wouldn't blame him a bit if he decides to never let you play in another one he ran. GL but I hope you know, you're barking up the wrong tree jmho...

Thats it. I want out of the football leagues. I also want my money back from the baseball leagues. While im at it, give me my money back from the N21 league. Keep my nascar survivor money. I may have a shot in that one.
